There are many wonderful things that have happened at GamesGround, but the story of Obergenie beats them all by far. What started as a provocative networking tool ended in a fully funded game development. I didn’t even get a booth and the game was an analogue paper prototype, the only one at the event. But we gave the nice people from GamesGround a small table and three chairs, between the men’s toilet and the video game museum. It was bombastic. Everyone wanted to try out the pee game. In the end, we had given away over 200 test matches and over 140 self-made buttons. And of course the publisher, Byterockers, who invited me to their place for a pitch. And the rest is history. A real autumn fairy tale that the people at GamesGround made possible for me. I will be eternally grateful to them for that!
